Strange Days è il titolo, ereditato da un album storico dei Doors del 1967, della nuova personale di Luisa Raffaelli alla galleria La Giarina. Una mostra che ruota attorno a sensazioni, spostamenti impercettibili, variazioni su di un tema, quasi una sintesi della poetica dell’artista, un compendio che non chiude però ogni discorso ma lo sospende. Infatti, le immagini di Luisa Raffaelli hanno in sé una forza centrifuga che scompagina l’ordine naturale. Non vi sono tentazioni seriali, ma la realtà appare forzata a mostrare quello che è permanente, dietro le apparenze. L’artista sposta leggermente di segno ogni accadimento naturale, orchestrando gli elementi in modo continuo con una forma narrativa che è fatta di sequenze. La tecnica non è quella dello stravolgimento, dell’immagine di forte effetto emotivo, anche se riesce a mettere insieme un elemento sempre riconoscibile (la donna in fuga) ambientata in situazioni urbane o in claustrofobici interni.

Strange Days is the title taken from the famous album by the Doors in 1967. It is the new solo show of work by Luisa Raffaelli at the gallery La Giarina. It is an exhibition that focuses on sensations, imperceivable movements, variations of a theme, almost a poetic synthesis of the artist and an overview that, however, does not close every discussion, but rather suspends them. Luisa Raffaelli's images contain a centrifigal force that disrupts the natural order. There are not serial temptations. Reality appears forced to show what is permanent, behind appearances. The artist slightly shifts every natural event and orchestrates the elements continually within a sequential narrative. The technique is notdistortion, images of strong emotional impact, even if it is always able to place a recognizable element (a woman running away) situated in urban locations and claustrophobic interiors.
