La raccolta Trevisan, oggi in deposito a lungo termine presso il Mart, è tra le più significative collezioni private italiane di fotografia: è composta da circa 250 opere, 200 delle quali sono state selezionate per questa mostra. Ma la vera singolarità della sta nella sua ampiezza cronologica: dai primi, affascinanti dagherrotipi si giunge ai linguaggi del contemporaneo. Un’estensione fuori dal comune, che permette alla mostra una notevole ricchezza tematica: le vedute urbane, il paesaggio naturale, il ritratto e il corpo sono i nodi centrali attorno a cui si articola l’esposizione.

What have Ferdinando Brosy’s daguerrotypes of 1846 in common with Gregory Crewdson’s photographs taken 160 years later? They have attracted the attention of Mario Trevisan and thus entered his collection. From 24 July to 9 September 2012, this wide-ranging, exciting collection of photographs is visible in an exhibition to be held at the Mart di Rovereto called “With the eyes, the heart and the mind. Photographs from the Trevisan collection”, curated by Walter Guadagnini with Veronica Caciolli.
