è di scena "Alice in Wonderland" la prima mostra che affronta e analizza in modo completo l’influenza che i celeberrimi racconti di Lewis Carroll hanno avuto sul mondo delle arti visive.
A cura di Christoph Benjamin Schulz e Gavin Delahunty, e con l’assistenza di Eleanor Clayton, la mostra è organizzata dalla Tate di Liverpool in collaborazione con il Mart e la Kunsthalle Hamburg.
I classici di Lewis Carroll (Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, 1832 – 1898) “Alice nel Paese delle Meraviglie” e “Attraverso lo specchio” hanno affascinato e ispirato molte generazioni di artisti da quando furono pubblicati, 150 anni fa. Questa mostra approfondisce il processo di creazione dei romanzi, l’adozione dei testi come fonte di ispirazione nel mondo dell’arte, e la revisione di alcuni temi chiave operata da molti artisti fino ai giorni nostri.
